Bed Bugs control Taunton

Bed bugs are small insects that feed on blood, usually at night. These little biters don't have the best reputation as far as houseguests are concerned and it’s not very hard to see why. They range from 1mm-7mm in size and are brown in colour (although adults are darker in colour than young). Unfortunately bed bugs have an impressive ability for hiding when they are not feeding. If there was a hide and seek champion, the bed bug would be in the top spot! They will hide in the seams of mattresses and bedding, amongst cracks and crevasses in the walls, and even inside your plug sockets and light fixings. Because they are so hard to find they are notoriously hard to eradicate from your home; not to mention their ability to survive up to 70 days without a blood feed (longer in cold conditions).

Signs to be aware of are blood stains on your bedding, dark coloured faecal matter, egg shells, shed skin (particularly on your mattress), and waking up with unexplained bites. These bites can sometimes lead to severe reactions so it is essential the pests are dealt with.

Our Taunton technicians are equipped to deal with your bed bug infestation by using a mix of insecticides and gas. Bed bug treatments are very intensive and hard hitting and will require multiple visits.

The video above shows a recent bedbug infestation that we at KO Pest Control tackled. Please note that the divan bed has been taken apart as the inner frame offers a high protection from treatment.
